Hi, I’m Kady – welcome to my kitchen! I’m a food photographer, stylist and designer living in Sydney’s sunny Bondi Beach.
By day, I run a design and branding agency, Kady Creative, where I mostly work with food and wellness professionals (think The Fit Foodie, Jessica Sepel, Ovvio Organics). Any spare minute I have, I’m over here in my kitchen, developing and sharing recipes that nourish the soul. I’ve just published my first cookbook – Behind the Half Door – Stories of Food and Folk – which I also shot, styled and designed. It’s been a busy year!
For me, all the best things in life start with F. Family, friends and, of course, my true love – food. My friends fondly call me the muck savage (!) and my fiancé knows he’ll come second to a sandwich any day. If I’m not cooking it, I’m eating it, if I’m not eating it, I’m writing, styling or shooting it.
Originally from Ireland, I moved to Sydney in 2012. I adore living in Bondi. The lifestyle is a dream (eat, work, swim, repeat) and I’ve found so many like-minded friends and clients who share my passion for incredible flavour pairings, whole foods and dreaming big.
To me, food has a special way of bringing people together – it’s how we comfort, nourish and share. I feel very lucky to incorporate that into my work. I hope you love the book and the recipes on this site as much as I loved creating them. Kady x x
